They have the friendliest staff, great exhibits, a giant ocean tank in the middle of the building, it's on the water, and it is a great cause! This is the first time we have been back since November, because it has just been too cold to go into the city. Damian had the most fun yet! He was walking around, touching the tanks, and really noticing the different sea creatures. They also have a great area for children between the penguin exhibit and giant ocean tank. We can't wait to go back!
I took Damian for a walk/run in the jogging stroller and Damian was able to play outside three days in a row! He is walking so well now it makes me tear up. My little baby just keeps growing!
He usually takes his first nap at 10:30 a.m. for about an hour or two, and his second nap at 1:30/2 p.m. for another hour or two. The past three days he has slept for three hours during his first nap. By the time he woke up it was almost time to go down for his 2nd nap, so I decided it must be his body saying he was a big boy now! I'm excited my little man is growing, but I can't believe it's already time for one nap. He isn't my baby anymore, he's my toddler! Okay okay, he is still (and always will be) my baby.

It is a little hard to tell in this picture but his butt is up in the air. That's right, he isn't even sleeping on his side. Literally a minute before I took this picture he was on his back with all of his appendages spread out. For all of you out there wondering what time Damian took his nap it was 12:30. And yes, he is still in his jammies. It's a jammie kind of day, and by that I mean laundry day :)

When do your little ones take naps?Andrea Bai @ Glam Hungry Momhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07340155042955636450noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214716610665441063.post-914745567727063042011-02-25T11:54:00.000-08:002011-02-25T12:05:16.280-08:00EbatesI just discovered a website, Ebates, that gives you cash back for shopping at any of the places you already do. This includes Nordstrom, Sephora, Macys, Apple, Shutterfly, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, etc. It even includes social discount sites like Mamapedia, Groupon, and other similar sites.

I know that I am going to be checking if any of my online shopping sites are on Ebates! Any way I can keep/get more money in my wallet the happier I am.

Click Here to sign up for this great website. They get a commission for "sending" you over to various businesses and you get money in the bank. It is a win/win all around!

Also, I have had a quite a few people message me on facebook or text me asking about coupons, deals, and saving money for the past few months. So I thought I would start posting things that I think are worthwhile as I go. I've responded to messages on facebook about what I do to save money. I think I will do a post in the next few days of my favorite tips and blogs I follow. There is something so gratifying about looking at the receipt and seeing how much money I have saved. It is also a great way to save money and pay off debts!

Side note: For all of you who love the movie Bambi, there is a $10 (yes TEN DOLLAR!) coupon on disneymovierewards.com :)AndreaBaihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17727917666953288677noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214716610665441063.post-57310215121359611162011-02-19T10:28:00.000-08:002011-02-25T12:05:52.264-08:00Really Really Want This...There is snow everywhere here in Mass, and Damian and I can't go on our daily walks. Lately, I've been escaping to furniture stores and Ikea to walk around in. Let's just say that is super dangerous! There are just to many things for this little domestic lady to play with. Anyhoo, I walked into one of Jordan's children room displays and saw this swivel chair and ottoman. I wanted it so badly but could not justify spending that much money on a chair for my son...even if I could fit in it ;). I am on the hunt for a cheaper version. Isn't it soo cute?!

Damian and I went on a little play date with Ollie and my friend Allie. Allie took this adorb picture of Damian, and it made me want an SLR camera sooo badly! Look how great the pictures come out! Although, I think some of it has to do with her being a great photographer. It was so cute watching Damian and Ollie play together. Maybe now I can get Damian to say "baby" and know what one looks like in real life. Damian is so used to be called "baby" he thinks it's his nickname.
I haven't kept up the past few seasons, but with the addition of Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez I decided to give it another chance. I am loving the new season and the energy the new judges bring. Here are my two favorite auditions so far:
Damian woke up at about 7:15 a.m. (which is normal) and I changed his diaper as usual. After about 5 minutes of waking, he had his poop face on and I heard an explosion in his diaper! A few days ago I made the grave mistake of smelling his butt and ended up with poop on my face! Luckily the poop stayed off of me, but it was all over Damian's leg. I cleaned him up, put him in the bathtub, and let him play for a while. It is so cute how much he loves his bath! When I took him out, I put his little head cap and robe on and let him roam around for a few minutes. Damian had a huge smile and ran up to give me a kiss and hug (his favorite thing to do!) and then sat on my lap. I thought he was trying to be cute and cuddly but then he pee'd on my lap, walked away, and laughed! Sneaky sneaky boy!
Everything went well except our little man needs to fatten up. I guess I prepared his meals to be a little TOO healthy. The doctor recommended we add butter on his food and all sorts of (yummy) fatty goodness. Let's just say Damian LOVES his new diet. He has whole-wheat toast with butter and peanut butter, peanut butter on his bananas, ground beef cooked in butter, etc. I am super jealous of his diet because I love butter! The doctor said once he's at the weight that he likes then we can cut back a little bit. Pat and I eat a really healthy clean diet but we like to really splurge once in a while..as you will notice later in the post. I'm a foodie at heart so when I splurge I go all out.

We also met Pat's Uncle Vic yesterday in Connecticut. Unfortunately the reason why he was in the east coast was because his mother passed away (we are so sorry for your loss). I hate that Damian and I met him under those circumstances. However, I am glad we got to meet him because Pat has said great things about his Uncle Vic through the years that I was excited to finally meet him. He took Pat, Damian, and myself to Shady Glen. We all ate "The Bernice Original Platter". It was featured on Food Network's "Best Thing I Ever Ate" so I had to try it. Let's just say that burger is DELICIOUS! The episode it was on will be featured Jan 20 at 7:30PM if any of you are interested.
I can not wait until he comes home! There is a AFCWA (American Football Coaches Wives Association) convention that occurs at the same time. It is a way for all the wives to get together and relate to the crazy life as a coach's wife. Next year's convention is at San Antonio, TX so I think I will end up going to that. If anything Damian and I can go to the riverwalk :)

Miss you Pat!AndreaBaihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17727917666953288677noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214716610665441063.post-48226060544790586052011-01-09T17:52:00.000-08:002011-01-17T12:23:22.511-08:00Damian Turned One!!!!!

I can not believe it. My little baby is now a toddler! I would be lying if I said I didn't tear up. This has been the most amazing, mind-blowing, exciting, fun-filled year I could have ever imagined. Damian is truly the best baby I could have ever asked for.

He has grown so much! On December 27th, 2009 my little man was born. A little sweet baby I could fit between my hand and forearm is now a toddler who walks extremely well and loves to give kisses.

Pat and I put together a little birthday party (last minute) and invited family and friends over that were in town. Damian ate his very first cake and it wasn't what I expected. I thought Damian was going to shove the cake in his face. Instead, he took little pieces in between his fingers and took very proper little bites. Towards the end it did get messy but not because of his bites.

My friend Sandra brought her twins with her and Damian had so much fun with them. Our first flight was from Boston to D.C. We boarded the plane, was told we should arrive 15 minutes earlier than expected, and then were delayed for an hour! It was awful just sitting in the runway, but what made it worse is we almost missed our connecting flight. We literally boarded the plane with 5 minutes left. Then, we were delayed for about 15-30 minutes. Damian was such a good baby on the trip. He didn't even fuss! I was really worried that the pressure would bother him, but we made sure he was drinking from his sippy cup or was being nursed. I was so proud of him!

Pat and Damian waiting in the airport

When we finally arrived at Sea-Tac my Grammy was there waiting to pick us up. We were waiting for our luggage at the baggage claim only to find it wasn't even on the plane! It wasn't due to arrive until four hours later. United gave us a loaner car seat and we ate at Fuji Restaurant in Chinatown and then shopped at Uwajimaya. When Pat and I saw our baggage when we came back I think we literally jumped for joy!

Damian and Grammy at Sea-Tac

We are so happy to be home to see our family and friends for Christmas and New Years.
Andrea Bai @ Glam Hungry Momhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07340155042955636450noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214716610665441063.post-11603459637226480352010-12-24T13:00:00.000-08:002010-12-29T09:19:23.649-08:00Stonehill Football Coaches Party
We had so much fun at the football staff holiday party. We went to Cafe Bella in Randolph, MA. The Chef/Owner is a Stonehill alum and boy did he take care of us! I had some of the best Italian food since I was in Italy.

Our first course was two different pizzas. Our first was a tomato and sausage pizza, and the second was a tomato, goat cheese, and arugula pizza. The pizza was perfectly crisp and fresh! Our second course was Calamari. I didn't get a chance to eat it because I was still on the pizza course but I heard great things. Our third course was shrimp and greens. The shrimp/prawns were huge. Just the way I like em! Fresh Pappardelle pasta in a tomato and meat sauce was our fourth course. After the first bite you could tell the pasta was freshly made. Some of the best I have had. The fifth course was the pork tenderloin. I personally do not eat pork so I just ate the veggies, but everyone kept saying how tender it was and how it kept melting in their mouth. Lastly, our dessert course consisted of a couple different choices. There was a plate of fresh fruit (with some of the yummiest pears) and two different ice creams, grapenut and an espresso, biscotti, and chocolate ice cream. All were made in house served with biscotti. I couldn't get enough!

If any one is near Randolph, MA, I highly suggest trying it.

Having a night out with out the little ones intimidated me at first but Damian had fun with the sitters, and we enjoyed a grown-up only dinner. After the eating portion of the night, we had a white elephant exchange. Apparently it's called a "yankee swap" out here. Maybe it's an east coast or New England thing? I opened a DVD box set to "Martin", and then got "yankee swapped" for a Chili's gift card, and then swapped again for an Amazon.com gift card. I love Amazon so everything ended up working perfectly.

Coach Talley, the head coach of Stonehill football, gave all the guys cards with bottles of liquor to match their personality. Pat received a bottle of Bacardi Superior because he was so smooth. Love it! Sarah, the head coach's wife, gave all the wives and girlfriends a mini martini glass, a mini bottle of absolut, and Hilliards chocolate. Hilliards is my obsession. It is a local chocolate/candy store with the best ice cream I have ever had and delectable chocolates. It is seriously to die for. You can also order online at their website for those who are tempted to try at: http://www.hilliardscandy.com.

In the past few months I have been giving my son Happy Baby products. They are truly the best baby food products I have found. Everything is organic, GMO-free, pesticide-free, and in BPA-free containers. The range of products they have span from infant to preschool. Damian loves everything he has had. I make most of Damian's food, but when I don't I turn to Happy Baby.

HAPPYBABY and HAPPYTOT Pouches:

I can not say how much I love these pouches! Damian gets delicious well-rounded nutrition and can feed himself. These pouches are perfect for when I'm on the go. I just throw a couple in my diaper bag, give one to Damian to eat, and I can have my hands free to do whatever it is I'm doing. They are especially good for when Pat and I dine out.

Damian eating his HappyTot pouch!

HAPPYMELTS:

These freeze-dried yogurt treats are like candy to Damian. He can't get enough! They are another great on-the-go treat. Damian can feed himself yogurt without the mess! They are packed with protein, pre and probiotics, and are low in sugar.

HAPPYPUFFS:

These puffs come in four different whole-grain puffs that are packed with vitamins and minerals. The packaging is eco-friendly and contains 40% more puffs than their competitors. My diaper bag is never without a package of these.

HAPPYMUNCHIES:

As of late, these have been Damian's obsession. I know I don't feel guilty giving these to my son because they have 60% less sodium than their competitor's version. I especially love that these cheese snacks have veggies mixed in.

HAPPYBELLIES:

Oatmeal or other cereals are a popular breakfast choice in this house. I love to mix these with unsweetened applesauce and cinnamon. I also add a little bit of BarleyLifeXtra to add some more fruits and veggies to it.

HAPPYBABY Frozen:

Meals that are pre-made and frozen to ensure your baby gets all the nutrients they need. As I stated earlier, I make Damian's food. However sometimes I just simply do not have time. These frozen meals are packed in an ice cube type tray, which makes it perfect to pop out the exact amount Damian needs. So far we purchased the Gobble-Gobble and Chick Chick varieties. Yum!

HAPPYBITES:

We haven't purchased this product yet but I have heard great things! We definitely plan to in the next few months. These easy, hand-held, frozen treats are loaded with veggies and flavor. We can not wait to see how Damian loves these.

Where To Buy:
I have seen these products everywhere from Whole Foods, the local supermarket, and Target. I have found packs on Amazon and other websites. You can also purchase them on their online store or find where they are located at a retailer near you.
AndreaBaihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17727917666953288677noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214716610665441063.post-71183168475112201602010-12-20T06:25:00.000-08:002010-12-20T14:51:59.444-08:00How Could I Forget Thanksgiving?!I can not believe I forgot to post Damian's first Thanksgiving meal. Doh! Pat and I decided to go out to eat instead of having to deal with cleanup this year. We went out to Cracker Barrel which is one of our favorite places to eat. I made Pat stop at almost every Cracker Barrel we saw on the road trip here. If you don't know what a Cracker Barrel is it is half-store and half-restaurant. It is very southern, country, and cute! They have cute rocking chairs and jumbo checker boards to play with. Damian loved the little rocking chair made for kids.
I cook mostly clean meals, and we rarely eat out. So when we do eat out, sometimes we like to self indulge ourselves. For Thanksgiving all three of us ordered the Thanksgiving meal, and Pat and I ordered pie. It is the holidays after all! Unfortunately, the food was borderline awful (except the veggies and the pie). I've never had a bad meal there but our Thanksgiving meal was not good. They didn't have enough food ready for the amount of people that came. They seemed more interested in getting the food out than the quality. The stuffing was dry and crumbly and the turkey was on the dry side. Damian ate some turkey and veggies. Pat and I ordered mac and cheese for him...well for us. It's my guilty pleasure. I do make a healthier version at home with squash and whole wheat noodles that's really tasty, but I love Cracker Barrel's mac and cheese too. It's creamy and gooey, and thank goodness they didn't mess that up! Even though Pat and I didn't really enjoy our meal Damian loved eating all the green beans, small pieces of turkey, sweet potatoes from my plate, and a little bit of cranberry. It made the trip worth it.
Allisyn has been in my life since I was a kid.

Allisyn, Me, Kristyn

Allisyn and I are both originally from Washington State and ended up in Massachusetts. Coincidentally, we probably live the same distance away from each other here as we did in Washington. The two of us brought our husbands and sons to meet at a local sushi joint in Mansfield, MA. The place was so cute and the sushi was delicious! Allisyn and I had our "mommy talk" while the boys talked about whatever boys talk about! Oliver slept the entire time while Damian would try to peak in his carseat. Damian is always called "baby" by the other kids he's around, so when he's around Oliver he gets very curious.

I absolutely love getting the Martins and the McCanns together!

Andrea Bai @ Glam Hungry Momhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07340155042955636450noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214716610665441063.post-27379101801720403762010-12-17T20:37:00.000-08:002010-12-20T14:52:23.223-08:00First Professional PhotosThis has been a (almost) year of firsts. Damian got his first professional pictures taken for our first family portrait, his birthday, and Christmas. We are so pleased on how they turned out! Damian had such a straight face we were afraid the photographer wouldn't have any smile shots. Check out some of our favorite pictures.
